Prototyping and Final Project

Prototyping and Final Project · Product Industrial Design (Blender & Digital Twin) course

Close the loop from concept to something you can hold: prepare an STL, check fitment against a real board, test alongside firmware or the Twin, and deliver a Design Report.

# Lesson Content
1 Production files, fitment prototyping, and the Design Report Checking the mesh and exporting STL, alternatives when you cannot print yet, checking fitment against a real board, testing alongside firmware, and writing a Design Report
2 Capstone lab: a prototype package and Design Report Applying fixes from Module 5’s results, checking the mesh, exporting STL, printing or making a print plan, checking fitment, testing alongside firmware/Twin, and submitting the Design Report

Approximate time per the original: about 3 hours (lessons) + a ~3-hour lab + separate time for printing/assembling the prototype.

Accompanying sheets and templates (in the resources/ folder of lesson 1):

Before moving to the next module, check that you can do the following:

  • A .blend + .glb + at least one STL file
  • A genuinely filled-in fitment table, or a print plan with measurement evidence
  • A record of testing alongside firmware / the Twin / a web-app
  • A Design Report covering every section, with ≥ 3 suggestions for the next round
